SAT Chemistry Course Online

About SAT examination
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a nationwide exam conducted by the College Board in the United States. Students choose the SAT for making the college admissions process easier after high school. SAT scores display the strength and interest of students towards a particular subject or a course.
The SAT subject tests are conducted for about 60 minutes. There will be 85 questions and all of them would be multiple-choice. The score of SAT subject tests ranges between 200 and 800. These subject tests are usually conducted six times in an academic year.
Cracking SAT Chemistry
Students aspiring to take up science or engineering courses in college pick the chemistry subject for their SAT examination. The SAT Chemistry exam evaluates the student’s conceptual and fundamental understanding of various chemistry topics such as reaction types, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, the structure of matter, and more.
The SAT Chemistry subject test allows students to solve numerical problems to test their problem-solving skills. The exam center provides a periodic table and students need to bring theirs. Calculators are strictly prohibited. The exam dates in the months of August, October, November, December, May, and June.
Around 20% of the SAT Chemistry will test the familiarity with the terminologies and fundamental concepts, around 45% of the questions will test the practical applications, qualitative or quantitative problems, and around 35% of the questions will test the relationships, deductive type situations, drawing conclusions, etc.
Each of the 85 multiple-choice questions will provide five choices for the students to answer. For every correct answer, the students obtain 1, for every wrong answer the student loses ¼, and for unattempted questions, the score is 0.
